Nari Ward (1963- ) is a Jamaican-American installation artist. His sculptural pieces uses found materials like strollers, bottles, and doors he finds his neighborhood. Ward then recontextualizes these objects into large works with metaphorical meaning around social and political issues around race and class. Viewers are invited to create their own meaning with prompting from the work.    Nari Ward received a BA from City University of New York, Hunter College in 1989, and an MFA from City University of New York, Brooklyn College in 1992.
